Job Description
Responsibilities:
- NOC Operations Management:
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the Network Operations Center.
- Ensure 24/7 availability of the NOC and timely response to incidents.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate resolutions.
- Team Leadership:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing NOC team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Incident Management:
- Oversee the identification, analysis, and resolution of network incidents.
- Implement and enhance incident response procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues promptly.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Implement and maintain network monitoring tools.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Proactively identify and address potential performance bottlenecks.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on network performance, incidents, and resolutions.
- Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Security and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with security policies and industry regulations.
- Implement security measures to protect network infrastructure.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to network security.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with IT teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to implement network upgrades and changes.
- Communicate effectively with leadership and stakeholders on network performance and incident status.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to align NOC activities with organizational goals.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.).
- Proven experience (5 years) in a NOC management role.
- Strong technical background in network operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., AutoMate, SolarWinds, Nagios).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in network management and security.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, ITIL) are a plus.
