The qualified candidate must have Scheduling and Monitoring experience in an Open Systems Environment.
- Monitor Control-M for any alerts.
- Escalating job abends to application support team as per documentation
- Perform rerun, restart, hold, release, order and force based on user request.
- Perform permanent Control-M job set up changes in Desktop.
- Scheduling Control-M jobs and order/forcing them into the active job file as required.
- Knowledge of Control- M Calendars, User Daily's, New Day Process and Scheduling concepts.
- Communicate with application team for abend resolution.
- Making temporary changes in the active environment( AJF) per user request.
The ideal candidate will have a strong scheduling background, monitoring and escalation experience and the ability to coordinate the Major Incident Management process. Familiarity with ITIL concepts is a plus.
Skills:
AS400, BRMS, BCV Backups (Business Continuity Volume) - Monitor and action on alerts/failures reported via AS400 MPLUS
- Ensuring the AS400 BCV and Non BCV backups start and complete on time.
- Working knowledge on tape related error messages for AS400 BCV backups.
Monitoring - TEC – Tivoli Enterprise Console
- Client OMi
- TSM – Tivoli Storage Manager
- Remedy
- Active directory admin
- OS knowledge – Windows, Unix and AIX
- Support Elevated GIT Security Functions (Privileged Account Activation, Password Resets, etc)
