No-Cost Armed Security Officer Training - Earn $20+ Hr. Upon Licensing

ARMED SECURITY OFFICER TRAINING

Redwood Private Security is now offering no-cost Armed Security Officer training to currently licensed (CA Guard Card) Security Officers who are interested in pursuing a career as an Armed Security Officer!

Upon successful completion of our BSIS firearms training course, Redwood will issue you a Certificate of Training, and assist you with obtaining your CA BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit.

Once you receive your permit, Redwood Private Security will offer you a position on our team in the Inland Empire!

The following Qualifications are REQUIRED to be considered for this program:

• Must be at least 21 years old AND High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must have a valid Driver's License AND clean DMV history (with no points)
• Possess and maintain a valid CA Guard Registration (guard card). Possession of a Pepper Spray/ Tear gas certification and Baton permit are HIGHLY DESIREABLE.
• Ability to successfully pass a firearm qualification with one of our in-house instructors.
• Ability to successfully pass a thorough oral interview.
• Ability to successfully pass a multi panel drug screen prior to the start of training.
• Ability to successfully pass an MMPI-2 psychological assessment prior to the start of training.
• Have the legal right to work in the United States.
• Fluent in English (fluency in Spanish a plus)
• Ability to read, write and understand written orders, policies, procedures, and how to apply them.
• Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, outstanding customer service skills, and takes initiative while carrying out existing

Typical Armed Security Officer Job Responsibilities

• Vehicle and/or foot patrol of assigned facilities as described in Post Orders.
• May be assigned to an office/ lobby desk position at some facilities.
• Enforce client policies, City or County ordinances, and select vehicle code sections.
• Make physical arrests or detentions of violators as needed.
• Wear a uniform and full duty belt, including firearm, baton, pepper spray, handcuffs, and flashlight.
• Demonstrate professional communications with the public, co-workers, client vendors and staff.
• Respond to emergency calls including fire, medical emergencies, and damage to property.
• Respond to security related complaints and ensure proper documentation is completed as per policy.
• Generate and submit electronic Incident Reports, parking warnings, and Maintenance reports using a mobile application.
• Work under general supervision of Site Supervisor, Quality Control Manager, and/or Client
• Maintain consistent performance, attendance, uniform appearance, and professional demeanor.
