Fill customer orders, load trucks, and receive and inspect products as required by SQF, HACCP and Food Defense plans. Shall pick product by lot number indicated on WMS wand, placing cases on pallets, and load palletized customer orders onto the trucks and maintain inventory. Shall fill split cases for customer orders while maintaining chain of custody to master case. Additional duties include handling customer will call orders, cleaning and organizing warehouse, and other duties as required. Lead warehouse personal will be trained to oversee “Supervisor Checked” orders.
Duties:
- Fill customer orders for full and split cases using WMS wands and trace labels per SQF and HACCP Plan
- Load trucks following SQF HACCP procedures requiring pre-cooling, cleanliness check, product release and following all policy
- Fill Customer “Will Call” orders
- Must be able to use rider and walk behind pallet trucks for filling orders and loading trucks
- Must be certified to operate forklift
- Receive, store and handle products per SQF HACCP & Food Defense Plans & WMS procedures as required; verify count and quality, trace label full pallets and all cases on less than full pallets, and store in designated area scanned to slot location in the ERP system.
- Thorough understanding with on-going documented training of SQF HACCP and Food Defense Plans
- Accurately complete all required documentation of SOPs and SSOPs as required by SQF HACCP & Food Defense Plans
- ALLERGEN control is a necessary part of your job
- Be aware of allergens and proper handling procedures for filling of orders containing products with known allergens
- Pulp product for proper temperature when received and following rejection/acceptance as outlined in SQF HACCP Plan
- Clean and sanitize all equipment and facility per SSOPs as assigned by the manager/supervisor(s)
- Perform pre-ops for receiving; See SQF HACCP Manual for complete inspection criteria
- Must completely and properly fill out all receiving manifests
- Place product ‘First In – First Out’ (FIFO) and/or “First Expiring – First Out” (FEFO) immediately into the proper cooler and/or freezer to maintain product temperature after trace labelled
- Clean areas where product is being stored before placing product in the storage area
- Place plastic slip sheets between lots of product stacked together on one pallet
- Ensure that iced product is slotted on the floor with a drain
- Responsible for quality control (i.e., reporting product with signs of distress)
- Keep the coolers/freezers/and dry good areas clean and organized
- Must qualify as both a warehouse and receiving person
- When filling less than case quantities appropriate gloves and changing thereof is utilized; allergen policy strictly followed and beginning shift and end shift table cleaning and sanitizing procedure completed; chain of custody maintained from master case to split case
- Strict adherence to high personal hygiene standards as outlined in HACCP Manual and Employee Handbook
- Perform other tasks, jobs, and/or assignments as directed by supervisors
