Lead Night Warehouse operations and personnel for safe and efficient preparation of products for delivery to customers the following day. Assist the first-line supervisor in directing associates to achieve accurate orders that are then staged and loaded on the trucks. Assist in overseeing the preparation of the warehouse for receiving the next day.
What you’ll do:
- Monitors a variety of operational information, such as "mis-picks" and productivity reports, to ensure individual order selectors and the entire shift are meeting rates and following preferred methods.
- Regularly inspects facility for safety hazards and either resolves them or reports them to the safety manager, or Night Shift Supervisor as appropriate. Aid in maintaining the physical condition of the warehouse and its equipment. Ensures the warehouse is kept clean and in compliance with AIB standards.
- Works with the Night Shift Supervisor to identify sources of inventory shrink and assists in the development of an action plan.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Maintains the physical condition of the warehouse; inspects equipment; issues work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Assist with employee schedules, workloads, and productivity and ensure that all packing, loading, and replenishing are done correctly and completed nightly.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety requirements.
- Cover any other area of the warehouse as needed and oversee the night operation when the night supervisor is not available.
- Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
