Wood Stacker
Peoplelink Staffing Solutions in partnership with a prominent client in Thomson within the Lumber industry.
Wood Stacker Job Summary:
- $14.00
- 2nd shift: M-F 5:30pm-4am
- Ensure all environmental and safety procedures are followed.
- Collect sticks into a box from bundles getting de-sticked.
- Lay sticks down between layers of bundles going to the kiln.
- Wrap and bank finished bundles per packaging instructions.
- Check stamp is correct for material and legible and alert Stacker Operator of errors.
- Pull back the layers of wood as they come across the hoist to keep layers tight and in line.
- Attend all training sessions and safety meetings.
Wood Stacker Qualifications:
- High School graduate or GED
- Ability to learn about treatments, lumber and plywood sizes, grades, and species.
- Ability to learn package sizes for all products.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
