Job Description
Job Summary: The Night Shift Assembly Technician is responsible for the preparing, assembling, and finishing precision metal parts into finished goods. Task include breaking out punch pressed parts, deburring these parts with grinders and various hand tools, adding hardware and hinges, and assembling parts into their final finished state.
Wage range is $17.50 to $19.50. This wage already includes a swing shift differential.
Duties and essential jobs:
Machine Preparation
· Perform machine inspections to ensure readiness for operations
· Perform Machine all machine setup as required- grinder belt replacement, hardware
· Ensure readiness of Tools and Dies for use
Machine Operation:
· Install proper belts to run the job
· Sanding and deburring of precision metal parts
· Aliening machines to place the proper hardware.
Assembly:
· Assemble all parts including lids, clasps and any addition parts or hardware
· Check tolerances to ensure quality controls
Other General Duties:
· Workstation Cleanup
· Safety inspections of work area
· Operating tumblers or polishers
· Able to setup and run a job without assistance and with few or no resets
· Able to read blueprints, take measurements, and follow written procedures
· Ability to work off-shift with minimal notice
· Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 35 lbs.) unassisted
· Ability to adapt in this fast-paced work environment
Full time, M-F 3PM to 11:30 PM.
