Upon HireThe primary role of the Night Custodian / Bus Driver is to perform after school custodial duties as assigned to maintain a clean, safe, and consistent school environment. During the school year, the Night Custodian / Bus Driver will begin each shift by driving the school's afternoon bus route, activity route, or field trips as assigned.
This is a full-time, year-round position, with an excellent benefits package. The working hours for this position are Monday - Friday from 2:45 PM to 10:45 PM. During the spring, summer, and winter recess, the hours for this position change to 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Night Custodian / Bus Drivers are required to obtain an Illinois Class B CDL with passenger and school bus endorsement within 6 months of hire. District 84 will provide all necessary training and support to obtain this license. Applicants must be age 21 or older to qualify for this license. Eligibility for an applicant to obtain this license will be verified with the state prior to hire.
