JOB SUMMARY
HPH looking for Full-Time Night Cleaners with flexible open availability to work Monday - Friday, Overnight Shifts. Weekend availability is required. Shifts are subject to change, based on business needs.
JOB DESCRIPTION

The work of Night Cleaner includes: performing full range of cleaning duties and responsibilities in support of Company operations. The duties of an Night Cleaner include but are not limited to: Works to ensure restaurant, kitchen and other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition. Sees that facilities are cleaned and maintained to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with sanitation regulations.
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms including picking up trash, washing dirty dishes, restocking and arranging magazines and newspapers in an orderly fashion, etc.
- Restocks bar supplies including; chaffing dishes, crock pots, trays, coffee, cups, glasses, etc. in all service areas and other work areas so that health standards are met.
- Cleans dishware and operates dishwasher
- Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.
- Empties wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
- Cleans restrooms and disinfects sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, etc. Replenishes bathroom supplies, polishes metalwork including; fixtures and fittings.
- Sweeps, mops, vacuums, using brooms, mops and vacuum cleaners. Other floor work may be required such as: scrubbing, waxing and polishing floors.
- Cleans breakrooms/kitchens. Disinfects sinks, countertops, tables, chairs, refrigerators, etc.
- Replenishes break room supplies.
- Dusts furniture, fixtures and equipment, partitions, etc.
- Empties wastebaskets and recyclables and transports to disposal area.
- Washes walls and woodwork, clean windows, door panels, partitions and window sills, etc.
- Helps with deliveries by loading and unloading product.
- Carries linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the housekeeping / janitorial fields.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Adheres to all local and state health department and other state agency regulations
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Ability to successfully pass airport authority security background check. High school diploma or GED is preferred. Related background in housekeeping or janitorial service. Must be at least 18 or 21 years of age as applicable by law. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and possess verbal communication skills necessary to communicate with customers, passengers, and co-workers. Able to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e. Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Must be able to perform the following essential duties complying with company standards:
- Pass and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications as applicable by law
- Must be able to stand during entire scheduled shift.
- Ability to handle the stress of a fast-paced work shift up to ten (10) hours
- Ability to read and interpret basic documents, and comply with all company policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group settings to passengers, customers and other team members of the Company
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers
- Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to bend, climb up/down, crouch, hear, kneel, reach, speak, stand, turn, twist, walk
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds, 40 inches high without the aid of another person
- Must be able to push and/or pull 120 pounds with the assistance of a wheeled cart
- Ability to perform tasks safely and according to established procedures to prevent personal injury, injury to others and avoid damage to the environment, facilities, and equipment
- Ability to follow all lawful safety and health regulations
- Must be able to pass and obtain security background check
- Report to work on a regular and timely basis
