Night Audit / Front Desk Associate
RTJ is seeking an overnight (3rd shift) front desk associate. Shifts are 11pm to 7am. This is a full-time position with 30-40 hours per week. Must be available weekends and holidays. Previous hotel experience is a plus. A pleasant demeanor is required and the desire to deliver superior customer service a must.
As a key member of the team working at night you will need to be able to remain awake and alert for the entire duration of the 8-hour shift and must have a general "mindfulness" for safety and security of the clubhouse and property.
The primary responsibility of our Night Audit is to run reports for the hotel on a daily basis, as well as to deliver excellent service while interacting with guests during the check-in and check-out procedure.
The essential functions of the Night Audit / Front Desk Associate position include:
- Welcome members and guest to the club and perform the check-in process
- Thank members and guests and perform the check-out process
- Answer all incoming and in-house phone calls
- Assist callers with making and/or changing reservations
- updating reservations with all guest names
- Assist all members and guests as necessary to ensure a positive experience
- Perform routine daily tasks such as printing tee sheets, locking and unlocking clubhouse, brewing coffee, coordinating with housekeeping for daily room assignments, running daily lodging reports, assist with lodging billing, printing welcome letters and name cards, printing banquet tags
- Ability to work while sitting & standing for extended periods of time.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Great attention to detail
- Thorough organizational skills, proficient in accomplishing all tasks
- Considerable knowledge of computer systems for registration, reservations and backup systems
- Above average mathematical comprehension to understand and interpret numbers as they apply to operations in hotels
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with employees and guests
- Ability to effectively interact with members and guests, some of whom will require a high level of patience, tact and diplomacy, to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts
Education/Experience
- minimum three (3) years in hospitality or customer service
- minimum 1-year in hotel setting
- comparable hotel size and scope of experience preferred
