Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments of neonates, including physical examinations and medical histories.
- Develop and implement evidence-based care plans tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with attending physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Perform procedures such as intubations, central line placements, and lumbar punctures as needed.
- Educate parents and caregivers on neonatal care techniques, medication administration, and developmental milestones.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of care and promote positive outcomes for neonates.
Requirement
- Master's degree in Nursing with a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner specialization.
- Current certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB).
- Valid Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and Registered Nurse RN license in the state of Hawaii.
- Experience working in a Level III NICU setting.
