- Job Summary:
- Provides direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and technical procedures to a group of normal-to-high risk infants.
- Manages neonatal caseload with physician consultation and collaboration.
- Serves as patient and family advocate in identifying healthcare needs and actions for neonatal cases.
- Coordinates pre- and post-operative care activities for normal-to-high risk infants. Supports neonatal units during crisis situations.
- Utilizes planning, implementation, and evaluation in formulating neonatal diagnosis and intervention.
- Must have Skills
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as a neonatal care Nurse Practitioner Able to work overnight shifts to cover at the Medical Center will be required.
- Education
- Masters degree in nursing.
- License, Certification, Registration
- Registered Nurse License (Hawaii) required at hire
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License (Hawaii)
- Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
- National Provider Identifier required at hire
- Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certificate
- Additional Requirements:
- Skilled in patient advocate role to ensure patient centered focus.
- Strong patient assessment skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in leadership, Teaching, interpersonal relations, customer service, problem solving and decision making
- Taxonomy code required at time of hire.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum one (1) year of Nurse Practitioner in an acute care setting.
- Valid Hawaii APRN Recognition with Prescriptive Authority for Hawaii State APRN prescriptive authority).

Salary: $129,000.00 - $166,980.00 per year
