NGS Technology Transfer Scientist - Hayward, CA

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated individual with expertise in advancing Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies. This position will be responsible for implementation of newly developed assay to operation group, will support Automation and R&D development of new assays.

Responsibility :

• Work closely with Automation Development and R&D department to support assay development and optimization, automation development and optimization for NGS clinical lab.
• Implement newly developed assay procedure to production lab.
• Lead in writing and revision of documentation like SOPs, batch records and material specifications, Write technical reports and method/instrument SOPs.
• Ensure all operators are proficiently trained on current and new lab procedures.
• Responsible for data accumulation, data analysis and interpretation.
• Lead and support performance optimization of existing assay workflow and analysis solutions.
• Perform Method and instrument qualification and validation.
• Mentor junior scientists and research associates with relevant expertise.
• Support daily operations, provide advice for troubleshooting, and resolve technical and non-technical issues.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree (or higher) in biological science or health-related discipline.
• At least 3 years of industry experience. Experience in Next- Generation- Sequencing (NGS) highly preferred.
• Expertise with basic molecular biology techniques (i.e., PCR, and qPCR) as well as nucleic acid extraction and analysis techniques (i.e., Qubit, DNA fragment analyzers, etc.).
• Familiarity with liquid handlers and other automation tools.
• Demonstrates innovation, adaptability, and schedule flexibility; Considers a dynamic environment as an opportunity to learn and grow
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to details, and able to multi-task.

The posted salary range is the estimated base salary range for this position. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable salary range may be updated accordingly.
