Job Summary/Description:
WLUC-TV6 is looking for a Weekend News Anchor/MMJ. The right person needs to be a great communicator on-air and online. This is a full-time position. The right person is the newsroom leader on weekends. They handle all aspects of our on-air and online presence. They must have a great attitude and work well with others. Their relationship with those on the assignment desk and reporters in the field is critical to a quality product. A strong on-air, conversational presentation is a must. You'll work three weekdays as an MMJ. You produce and anchor two evening newscasts on the weekends and help update the station website and social media.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
•Writing for on-air and online
•Working knowledge of videography and video editing
•Must meet deadlines and be able to multi-task
•Great attitude and enjoy working with others
•Strong work ethic
•Enjoy talking with people
•Professional appearance
•Strong on-air delivery and speaking voice
Qualifications/Requirements:
•Must have a valid Driver's License
•Ability to handle Social Media, including website writing, Facebook, Twitter and more
•Strong writing and organizational skills
•Enjoy a fast paced environment
•Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
