Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Occupational Therapist to work with elementary school students within our district. The selected candidate will play a vital role in supporting students' participation in daily activities, promoting independence, and enhancing their overall academic success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct prehensive assessments to evaluate students' functional abilities and identify areas of need.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and interventions to address students' sensory, motor, and self-care skills.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, utilizing evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' participation and progress within the school environment.
- Monitor students' progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate documentation in pliance with district policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school-based or pediatric rehabilitation setting.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of sensory integration, motor development, and therapeutic interventions for children.
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and engage with students, families, and stakeholders.
