Status: Part-Time - 8hrs/week

New Life Church's mission is to make disciples in the Pikes Peak region, by calling people to worship, connect and serve.

The Worship Leader/Musician is an essential role for the ministry of New Life Downtown. The Worship Leader/Musician role is to lead with excellence on weekends both musically and spiritually - including preparation, thought, and intention given to the weekend service. The Worship Leader/Musician will support the Lead Worship Pastor by leading vocally and playing cello at our Worship Services as scheduled.

• To support the Worship Pastor in leading NLD Sunday Services.
• Lead at special services at NLD as available (Good Friday/Easter, Ash Wednesday, Christmas Eve, etc.)
• Attend weekly NLD Worship Rehearsals.
• Committed to making NLD their local church community.
• Participate in New Life Downtown Worship events as available (team nights, huddles, etc.)
• Participate in special events as available (women’s retreat, team day, etc.). If these events require additional hours, extra compensation will be included at $33/hr.

• Proven strong gifts/anointing in leading worship.

• Proven strong vocal performance ability.
• Proficiency on at least one musical instrument
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a flexible and cooperative manner.
• Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately at all levels.
• Able to work well under pressure and time constraints, utilizing multi-tasking skills and assessment of the priority of the moment in an environment of changing priorities and demands.
• Servant’s heart with spiritual maturity and sensitivity.
• Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.

Experience:2+ years of experienceas a Worship Leader.

• Abilityto readandcarry out written and oral instructions.
• Working knowledge of databases and mac-based applications.
• Good communication and people skills.
• Demonstrates a Servant’s heart.
• Ability to verbally communicate effectively and tactfully.
• Personable and helpful attitude.
• Ability to handle tasks and to complete assignments with little guidance.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
