Position: Part-Time

Purpose of Position:

The purpose of the Location Worship Leader is to be responsible for leading the worship experience at the Orchard Green Valley Ranch (GVR) location while supporting the implementation of the vision, mission and core values of Orchard Church. In addition, they will be a support to the Creative Director of Worship and the Worship ministry as a whole and will work directly with the Location/Teaching Pastor on reaching the Green Valley Ranch community.

Key Responsibilities:

● Lead all worship services assigned by the Location/Teaching Pastor and Creative Director of Worship primarily at the GVR location and occasionally at the Brighton location

● Assist the Location/Teaching Pastor in coordinating and implementing the vision for Orchard Church Worship at the GVR location

● Coordinate and lead rehearsals in preparation for worship services

● Recruit, train, develop, lead, and schedule worship volunteers communicating with them about upcoming rehearsals and scheduled worship events

● Pastor the volunteers and contractors at the GVR location

● Recruit top-quality worship team members from the GVR congregation and community

● Assist on-site Production Team in setting up and tearing down stage and production at GVR location

● Coordinate with the Production Director for all lighting, audio, and projection needs for worship services at the GVR location

● Meet regularly with the Location/Teaching Pastor and Creative Director of Worship for ongoing development and coaching

● Work alongside Pastors/Leaders and Weekend Services team for both GVR and Brighton locations

● Attend Brighton worship services leading up to the launch of the GVR location in order to develop the culture of Orchard Church

● Models strong Christian character, integrity, vibrant relationship with Christ & lives out biblical truth

● Passionate about seeing the church connect with God through worship

● Exhibits a strong understanding of God’s Word

● Highly relational, good at building teams, promoting teamwork, and delegating responsibility

● Ability to recruit, motivate, and equip volunteer team members

● Ability to create, develop and train leaders

● Ability to mentor and disciple

● Strong knowledge of worship culture and ability to learn new ways of reaching and moving people

● Self-Starter: Has a continued pursuit of excellence without being told what to do

● Should have some familiarity with Ableton Live, ProPresenter and Planning Center

● Team Player: Someone who welcomes feedback, contributes to building morale and connection among teams of people, and puts the success of the team above their own interests

● A strong vocalist and platform leader who can lead from at least one instrument and who cares about musical excellence

● Should see themselves as a pastor and worshiper, not just an artist

● Relationally connected to the campus location and seek to know the people there well

Hourly position – Approximately 20 hours per week.

Pay rate: To be negotiated based on skill/experience
