POSITION SUMMARY
The Artik Materials Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all activities associated with the Materials department, including receiving, shipping, shop floor, planning, and all point of use locations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Coordinates materials functions in a cell concept setting within a team environment including materials, manufacturing engineering, production, and quality assurance.
- Implements engineering change orders to released jobs.
- Assists in the development, communication and deployment of departmental policies, guidelines, and tools to ensure success in all processes.
- Assists in maintaining the material department budget with indirect labor, overtime, materials supplies, communication devices, and travel.
- Monitors, measures, and meets all material measurements.
- Monitors and reduces negatives to zero, monitor line entry schedule and part status prior to and during the build process.
- Monitors and maintains the accuracy of Live bus records.
- Performs cell audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- 3-5 years' experience in an inventory control position preferably within a manufacturing setting.
- APICS certification or currently enrolled in APICS programs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret information quickly.
- Exceptional computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Experience with Oracle would be an asset.
