Stoltzfus Meats sells fine, fresh, home-style foods at our five stands at New CastleFarmer's Market in New Castle, Delaware. We have fresh poultry, fresh-squeezed juice, bakery, deli salads, and fresh and smoked meats & deli.

Do you live in or near Lancaster County and are interested in our DE location? Well, we provide free transportation to and from our DE Farmer’s Market with pick up/drop offs at our Intercourse, PA location as well as near Gap, PA along Rt. 41

Qualifications:

• Age 16 or older
• Energetic, friendly personality
• Service-oriented
• Experience in retail, and/or market is a plus!
• Ability to stand, walking, bend, and lift for majority of shift
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen (includes marijuana)

Responsibilities:

• Serving customers at deli stands; primarily in Meats & Cheese or Poultry
• Cross train in all stands to assist as needed (Deli Salads, Fresh Squeezed Juice, and Bakery)
• Interact with customers to receive their orders, answer questions, and provide recommendations
• Pull product from the case, weigh or portion according to customer's order, package product
• Use a cash register, mental math, receive payments, handle cash, make change, and use credit/debit card equipment to complete customer purchase
• Stocking product into showcases
• Assisting with food production if needed (cutting, mixing, wrapping, labeling, etc)
• Keeping the showcase, counters, workspaces, and floors clean
• Following safety guidelines for food handling, hygiene, and equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Shifts & Schedules:

• 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts
• Thursday, Friday, and/or Saturday hours available
• Saturday availability/flexibility is required
• Priority hiring consideration given to applicants who are available to work a closing shift on Fridays, Saturdays, or both days
• Workdays may includes Tuesdays, Wednesdays
• Morning, day, and evening shifts available
• (Market is open on Thursdays from 9 am - 3 pm, and Fridays-Saturdays from 9 am - 8 pm)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.25 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 25 per week
