New Business Underwriter (Fully Remote)

Position Description: Who We Are:NIP Group www.nipgroup.com is a rapidly growing insurance service provider of specialty programs for commercial insurance brokers and carriers providing underwriting, distribution, product management, administration, and risk management services primarily by acting as a managing underwriter (MGA) and a Reciprocal Services Manager (RSM).
Who You Are:
Service New Business and renewals for all property and casualty lines of business in alignment with underwriting portfolio strategy.What You'll Do:Within compliance of the program guidelines profitably underwrite and grow an assigned book of new and renewal commercial business including both property and casualty lines of coverage.
Create value added solutions including negotiating customized coverage, terms, and conditions to enhance NIPs reputation as the industry expert in targeted niche industries.
Maintain an established loss ratio objective and meet assigned production goals.
Develop and nurture profitable relationships with the assigned agents and brokers by providing highly responsive and exceptional service.
Efficiently prepare comprehensive underwriting referrals to Staff Underwriting and/or Carrier partner.
Maintain individual underwriting account files to remain in compliance with NIP file integrity standards.
Work with Program Manager to achieve New Business production goals and renewal retention strategies.
Participate in marketing events to promote the NIP brand within selected niche industries.
Operate with the highest level of accuracy in alignment established workflows and offer suggestions on potential efficiency improvements.
What You Bring:Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experienceSuccessful completion of technical insurance coursework toward such designations as CPCU, ARM and AU is preferred.5+ years of multiline commercial underwriting experience with focus on construction accountsMGA experience highly desirableFamiliarity with multiple rating and issuance systemsResults and goal driven mentality with strong problem-solving abilitiesExceptional customer service orientation with the ability to create and strengthen internal and external relationshipsAbility to execute renewal rate and retention measurements based on underwriting guidelines. Ability to negotiate renewal terms and conditions. Ability to operate independently but collaborate when necessary. Ability to operate within Underwriting Guidelines and refer accounts when necessary. Financial Statement Review Capabilities. High level detail including maintaining underwriting file documentation. Excellent technical, verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills, integrity and follow through
