This position is responsible for the servicing, installing, repairing a wide range of communications products (including radio communications products, Networking products). They will apply diversified knowledge of engineering and IT principles to evaluate technical input and perform problem-solving activities. This position will cooperate and coordinate with the service supervisor to meet customer demands. They will have superior people skills and be able to work closely with customers at their locations to satisfy their communications requirements. This Position Guide is to be supplemented by written goals, plans and standards of performance as approved by the appropriate manager.
The position incumbent has authority commensurate with his/her responsibility within the limits of approved Company and Department policies, instructions, rules and budgets.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Install, repair and troubleshoot 2-way radio communications and IT products (hardware and software).
- Ability to terminate various communication cables (copper/fiber).
- Understanding of voice/data convergence, unified communications & IP networking. Be able to troubleshoot, repair, and install the related technological solutions as needed.
- Recommend client solutions.
- 2-way radio experience a plus.
- Able to provide 24/7 service using a service vehicle provided by the company
- Any other duty or responsibility as deemed necessary by the management staff.
- Ability to setup firewall, router, switch, private LTE, wireless networking systems.
- Install video security and access control systems with analytics.
- Ability to communicate and work with team of ethical hackers to perform hacking tests and penetrations.
- Team player and ability to perform quality customer service.
- 2+ years' experience in network and communication system troubleshooting
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass background check
- Able to lift, climb ladders and stairs and fit into confined areas. Work outside in hot and cold climate
- Networking certifications
- Pass Motorola training courses as needed

- Ability to respond quickly and work under pressure in front of clients
