Position Title:Network Specialist
Department: Systems
Reports to: Operations Service Manager
Compensation: Hourly, Commensurate to Skills and Experience
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm with 30-minute unpaid lunch

Maas Energy Works is the leading developer and operator of agricultural waste-to-energy systems in the United States. The Company designs, develops, constructs, and operates biogas powered renewable energy generation systems on dairy farms. Our projects include anaerobic digesters, biogas-powered electric generation, and renewable natural gas upgrading.

Position Description:
Maas Energy Works is seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Specialist to join our Systems to assist build and maintain industrial IT networks. As a Network Specialist, you will play a role in maintaining and optimizing our company's network infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in computer networking to contribute to the success of our organization, and work with our incredible Systems department.

Responsibilities:

• Configuration, installation, and documentation of networked devices
• Drawings, IP Sheets, SOPs, physical and software labeling, cable labeling standards, hardware installation standards
• Device backup and disaster recovery
• Network rack installation best practices
• Crimp patch cable ends and cable management
• Remote management and troubleshooting of computers and network devices
• Workstation remote monitoring and management experience
• Computer backup and disaster recovery
• Troubleshoot point to point links
• Remotely troubleshoot network connectivity issues
• Remotely troubleshoot workstation issues such as connectivity or slowness
• Organization of installation and maintenance schedules, parts acquisition, and inventory management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement network solutions.
• Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access.
• Conduct regular network audits to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in computer networking.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or comparable experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field a plus but not required.
• Proven experience as a Network Specialist or in a similar role.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and security software.
• Strong understanding of network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong Administrative skills
• Experience with Firewalls, switches, computers, and point to point radios
• Remote management and troubleshooting of computers and network devices
• Must be proficient in English

Physical Demands Requirements:
Work Environment
This job mainly operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role, however, some travel is required. This would require the ability to enter, travel in, and exit vehicles and airplanes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $45.00 per hour
