The IT Network Security Administrator will be responsible for helping implement and administrating infrastructure secure solutions. The position requires broad knowledge across many domains of Information Technology and Cybersecurity. Candidate should have experience in the Windows server space, Linux server space, network access control – endpoint, firewall knowledge and experience. As we move towards a zero-trust network model, you will work with IT Security Manager designing and implementing solutions to secure endpoints, segmentation, and other security initiatives.This role also calls for escalated support for all network-related problems including routing, switching, data center networking, and Wi-Fi.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Design, Build and Operate key security controls and platforms such as Endpoint Security, DLP, Cloud Security, Internet, and Network Security Email Security solutions.
Design, Implement and Maintain IT Security Systems.
Document, maintain, and enforce information security-related policies and processes.
Provide recommendations on Network Security best practices.
Provide Engineering support and threat analysis to maintain infrastructure compliance.
Remain informed on cyber security threats and technological advancements.
Assist with troubleshooting and resolving system Incidents.
Create and administer site-to-site VPN tunnels and User VPN access.
Other duties assigned by the IT Security Manager or the IT Director related to IT Cybersecurity.
Job Qualifications
The role of IT Network Security Administrator is crucial in ensuring the security of Dallas Seminary’s Information Systems. The ideal candidate would have at least half of critical skills and experience listed:
Security and/or network certification (Security+, CISSP, C|EH, CCNA, CCNP, etc.) or desire to obtain.
Experience with infrastructure technologies (VMWare, vSphere, Cisco ACI, VNet).
Experience with SD-WAN Technology.
Experience with Network Access Control (Cisco ISE, TACACS/Radius, 802.1x, AAA).
Strong network fundamentals including the OSI model, TCP/IP, IPv4, and working knowledge of IPv6.
Experience with FortiGate Firewall, and related technology.
HPE-Aruba networking hardware will be required to learn and administrate.
Network security segmentation - implementation and design.
Moderate security framework and standard implementation (ISO, NIST, ITIL, etc.).
Knowledge of programming and scripting language application.
Understanding of PKI and/or encryption protocols/ciphers.
Experience with network virtualization technologies.
Office 365 and Microsoft Azure experience.
Experience in implementing Zero trust technology (Aruba ClearPass).

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Mathematics or equivalent work experience.
At least 7 years related IT experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
