Ignite is currently seeking a driven, detailed Air Force Network Operations Specialist - (Unit Line MX) to join our team supporting the US Air Force, in San Antonio, TX and Scott AFB, IL. This position is expected to be onsite. Position Summary: The Air Force Network Operations Specialist - (Unit Line MX) will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the Air Force network infrastructure in a unit-level capacity.
The Network Operations Specialist will be part of a team that ensures the Air Force network is available, reliable, and secure for mission-critical operations. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and operate Air Force network infrastructure at the unit-level, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices. Monitor and maintain network performance, availability, and security.
Respond to network issues and outages in a timely manner, troubleshoot and diagnose issues, and perform repairs as needed. Install and configure network devices and software to support mission requirements. Maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, inventory, and configuration information.
Implement and adhere to network security policies and procedures. Participate in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures. Collaborate with other cyber defense teams and external partners to exchange cyber threat intelligence and coordinate incident response activities.Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in related field Minimum of 2 years of experience in NETWORK OPERATIONS or a related field.
Experience with network infrastructure components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices. Experience with network troubleshooting and diagnostics. Knowledge of common network protocols and network architecture.
Experience with configuration management tools. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. IAT II Desired: Networking Certification Top Secret Clearance Required Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH). Experience with military NETWORK OPERATIONS and procedures. Experience with DoD Information Assurance Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) requirements.Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in related field Minimum of 2 years of experience in NETWORK OPERATIONS or a related field.
