Title:Network Operations Security Analyst
Reporting to: Sr Director, Managed Security & Network Ops
11:11 is looking for a Network Operations Security Analyst whose primary responsibility will be to assist with providing 24/7 monitoring, technical support, network design, and configuration implementation for our 11:11 Systems Connectivity Solutions and Managed Network Solutions. We are looking for someone who is a team player, detail oriented, and has excellent customer service skills with a previous technical background as Security Analyst in their career. This is a full-time position reporting to the Sr Director, Managed Security & Network Ops.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the configuration, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of Cisco ASA and Firepower next generation firewall devices supporting 11:11 customers and internal network infrastructure.
- Responsible for the configuration, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of Fortinet next generation firewall devices supporting 11:11 customers and internal network infrastructure.
- Manages existing customer facing network and help plan for network expansion by recommending designs and hardware and connectivity solutions.
- Develop and review system and network designs to ensure compliance with corporate security policies and security best practices.
- Implement and support technology solutions, such as SDWAN, VPN Mesh Networks, Wired and Wireless Connectivity solutions (Layer 2 and Layer 3), Firewalls, Routers, and Switches in accordance with best practices and company policies.
- Provide multi-layered technical support to our customer base using services supported through our Network Operations Center.
- Review and resolve anomalies that are broad and potentially service impacting while escalating to appropriate resource or management if necessary.
- Act as an escalation point for customer issues and internal work units.
- Serve as a liaison with customers, vendors, and other third-party providers to troubleshoot issues or work within design sessions.
- Ability to accurately track issues in Ticketing System while providing timely updates to customers on progress and resolution.
- Obtain and maintain technical certifications to further knowledge of products and services offered by the company.
Requirements
The following skills represent the minimum requirements to be considered for this position:
- 3+ years of network support experience in a Security Analyst or Network Analyst/Engineer equivalent role.
- Experience with OSI based network flow.
- Experience with configuration, implementation and troubleshooting of Cisco ASA/Firepower and Cisco Secure Firewall Management Center
- Experience with configuration, implementation and troubleshooting of Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls and Fortinet Product Suite including Fortinet Access-Points and Fortinet Switches
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 issues.
- Access-Circuit/Connectivity troubleshooting proficiency (Fiber, Ethernet, TDM, Cable, Wireless Technologies) with Point-to-Point/Private or Internet based solutions.
- Experience in configuring, and troubleshooting VPN services through multiple vendor platforms.
- Must be available to be part of the on-call rotation, which includes nights and weekends.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Good interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior experience of working in a 24x7x365 production network environment with previous Service Provider experience being preferred.
Preferred Skills
The following skills represent additional proficiencies preferred to be successful in this position:
- Experience in working in previous Service Provider NOC environments.
- Experience in using ServiceNow or Fresh Service Ticketing systems.
- Experience in using PRTG, LogicMonitor or Solarwinds Monitoring platforms.
- Experience in design, implementation and troubleshooting of telecom transport services such as T1, DS3, OCx, Fiber, Ethernet (Layer 2 Services such as Ethernet Private Line and ELAN/VPLS Services), and Wireless (3G/4G/5G/LTE) facilities.
- Experience with Cisco Routers, and Switches including Cisco Nexus Switches.
- Experience with Juniper Switches and Juniper Routers.
- Experience in design, implementation and troubleshooting SD-WAN services across various vendors such as Cisco/Meraki, VeloCloud, and Fortinet.
- Experience with Routing Protocol design, implementation, and troubleshooting (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS).
- Experience in design, implementation and troubleshooting of Quality-of-Service in Layer 2, and Layer 3 environments.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and consultative skills.
- CCNA/NSE (1-4) certification or similar experience skillset certification preferred.
