SalaryWe have an immediate need for a Remote Network Engineer ll for an 18+ month contract. This position will be responsible for working as a team to migrate around 150 peering points.

Pay Range: $45 - $50/hr on w2.

- No C2C or 3rd party candidates. Client requires candidates to be a US Citizen or Green Card holder working on w2.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzes local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems and protocol suites, and configuring communication media.
- Will work as one of the team but focused on the migration of around 150 peering points.
- Resolves interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms.
- Develops network solutions to maximize and reroute traffic and perform root cause analysis through appropriate commands, specifications, and scripts.
- May lead cross functional teams or provide Engineering support.
- Supports acquisition of standard hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.
Ideal Candidate:
- 4+ years’ experience preferred.
- Cisco and Juniper equipment experience required.
- BGP, OPSF, and VRF design experience
- Site due diligence work done remotely.
- New routers turn up and configuration.
- MOP creation / MOP execution in maintenance window
- Prepare and submit firewall requests.
- Work through any fall out from migration
- No certification required.
