POSITION PROFILE

The Network Engineer II position is responsible for the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the network infrastructure for both Connectria and its customers. The individual in this position will be highly visible to both our internal and external customer base and will require the ability to maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude, while working in a fluid and fast-paced work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The candidate will be tasked with the following duties and responsibilities:
• Daily operations and support of all network components which consists of installation,
• configuration, and upgrade of both software and hardware components. Technical
• responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Exhibiting proficiency in troubleshooting OSI layer 1 – 7 network issues while
• working with both internal and external customers.
• Installation, configuration, upgrade, and day-to-day management of various router,
• switch, firewall, and load balancer platforms, such as (but not limited to): Palo Alto
• firewalls; Cisco firewalls, routers, and switches; Juniper routers and switches; and
• F5 load balancers.
• Configuration of advanced traffic load balancing policies using public key
• infrastructure (PKI) digital certificate standards.
• Implementation of VPN configurations and troubleshooting VPN-related
• connectivity issues using NAT and VRF technologies.
• Implementation and troubleshooting of BGP EVPN/VXLAN and MPLS L2/L3VPN
• configurations.
• Troubleshooting of FabricPath and MPLS/LDP-related issues.
• Deployment of mid to large-sized customer environments with a moderate-to advanced level of technical complexity.
• Perform advanced IPv6 configuration and routing tasks.
• Required to participate in an off-hours on-call rotation and work off hours (including
• weekends and holidays) in support of upgrades, changes, and problem determination tasks.
• Responsible for providing proper documentation such as maintaining device and network
• records, network diagrams, and creating implementation plans.

• The candidate should be able to consistently maintain the following skill sets:
• Must be detail-oriented.
• Maintain excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
• Ability to multi-task effectively and manage time/resources efficiently.
• Be self-motivated and able to work effectively and professionally without direct
• supervision.
• Moderate experience with various LAN, WAN, and Cloud network technologies.
• Moderate experience with Palo Alto and/or Cisco ASA firewalls, as well as Cisco routing and
• switching platforms.
• In-depth understanding of TCP protocol operations with ability to decipher output of PCAP
• packet traces.
• Able to use SNMP and other network-related tools to view network traffic statistics and
• trends, backup network device configurations, and use as a deployment tool for
• automating operating system upgrades

Desired skills:

• Previous experience with Juniper (routing and switching) and F5 (load balancing) technologies.
• Maintain an active CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certification (e.g., JNCIA, JNCIS-ENT, JNCIP-ENT).
• Have experience with programing languages such as SQL, Python, PHP, etc.
• Education:
• Associates Degree in the technology or equivalent in trade school.

Salary: 74,316 to $87,316
