Job Description
The Network Architect participates in network and security design, configuration, and testing activities for customer data center moves. The individual on this role must have strong skills in designing and building networks for data centers and focus on project delivery. It also required creating the network documentation and ensuring that the right information is captured. This role requires the individual to think critically through problems and be a self-starter when completing assigned projects.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop technical direction and engineering solutions for enterprise-wide networking.
2. Lead the development and execution of Architecture and Engineering for data centers.
3. Drive standardization and automation into all aspects of the network platform.
4. Provides technical solutions for the establishment and implementation of high availability network solutions.
5. Document referential architecture and network diagrams and dependencies.
6. Participate in the Facilities design meetings and identify impact to the network related to facility move decisions.
Certifications
CCNP Cisco Certified Network Professional
Experience
8 or more years of relevant job experience including analyzing, configuring, troubleshooting, designing complex enterprise networks.
Experience in the following technologies or areas would be desired, in order of importance.
- Cisco Nexus (primarily Nexus 9K)
- Cisco ACI and NX-OS experience
- Cisco Catalyst (primarily Cat 9K)
- Cisco IOS-XE
- L2/L3 Design experience
- OSPF and BGP
- Nexus Dashboard
- Cisco CUBE
- Cisco Client
- Cisco Wireless (primarily Catalyst 9800 and Catalyst 9136)
- Citrix Netscalers
- Infoblox IPAM
- Multicast
