Project Description:
This initiative is designed to support the Information Technology mission of the Defense Health Agency (DHA). The program will deliver a range of services encompassing Cybersecurity, Information Systems Operations, Desktop Support, Mobile Technology Services, Infrastructure Services, Information Systems Development and Modernization, as well as Web Services Development, Management, and Support.
Key Roles/Responsibilities:
System Administration:
- Provide system administration for all servers, network equipment, operating systems, and applications on the network.
- Ensure the stability and performance of the entire network infrastructure.
Vulnerability Mitigation:
- Provide input and support for mitigating vulnerability findings from network security scans.
- Implement measures to enhance network security and resilience.
PKI/CAC Support and Maintenance:
- Support and maintain DOD PKI/CAC requirements, including OCSP Software for authenticating PKI certificates.
- Manage PKI hardware and software, ensuring compliance with government regulations.
LAN and WAN Management:
- Manage LAN and Wide Area Network (WAN) connectivity, guaranteeing Quality of Service (QoS) for various applications.
- Provide cost-effective solutions and recommendations for network optimization.
External Connectivity:
- Ensure secure external connectivity through point-to-point links, Virtual Private Network (VPN) tunnels, remote access, and NIPRNet access.
- Take responsibility for the remote access VPN in alignment with authorized user requirements.
Daily Operations and Inspections:
- Perform daily operations activities, including Syslog and Event log reviews, backup verification, and physical inspections of server rooms and equipment.
- Identify and report potential issues, mitigating risks with minimal impact on the production environment.
Monthly Maintenance:
- Conduct pre-scheduled monthly maintenance on the DoD network environment.
- Notify network users in advance, ensuring minimal disruption during maintenance windows.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in planning, designing, implementing and managing DoD networks
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in maintaining onsite network operations, applications and hardware
- DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification
- Security +
- CCNA, CCNP
