Network Administrator Level III
Primary Location: Washington, DC
Security Clearance: Secret with ability to obtain Top Secret w/SCI eligibility

OSG is seeking a Network Administrator to support to our DOD client in the Desktop Support Branch within the scope of system administration, engineering, infrastructure & endpoint services. The Network Administrator will be responsible for conducting IT endpoint device support operations in a model consistent with the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL). Additionally, assist with providing support for desktop workstations, mobile workstations, networked and local printers, and other network accessible devices.
Specific Responsibilities
- Analyze and assess system performance in response to reports of outages and poor performance.
- Resolve issues related to suspicious email, digital signatures, encryption, CAC certificates, and access to file servers and DoD/Navy websites.
- Act upon Networking or Information Assurance notifications in a timely fashion.
- Collect statistics on hardware/software/system problems, security incidents, and service requests.
- Ensure compliance with performance standards and report any deviations or issues.
- Assist Hardware/Software Equipment Support Specialists:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktop workstations, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other endpoint devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software on endpoint devices.
- Assist with the setup and deployment of new endpoint devices, including imaging and configuration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including diagnosing problems, performing repairs, and coordinating with vendors for warranty repairs or replacements.
- Provide user support and training on endpoint devices and software applications.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Sec+ CE and CISSP Certification.
- 10 years as a Network Administrator which includes experience in the design, development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer networks.
- In-depth knowledge of security tools, techniques, and procedures and experience in implementing, configuring, and monitoring of security and network tools.
- Experience with the architecture, installation, operations, and maintenance of Windows active directory, MS Exchange at the Enterprise level, e-mail filtering at a hardware and software level, certificate-based authentication including Common Access Card (CAC) hardware and software, remote access, and client/server computing in a switched Ethernet environment.
- Experience with Red Hat Linux v6 & v7, Windows 2012 & 2012 R2, or Windows 2016.
- Must possess good interpersonal, communications, and analytical skills.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Normal office environment.
Travel
- Up to 20%.
- Travel to other government facilities or contractor facilities may be required for assessment/repair/upgrade of remote systems, training, or conferences.
