About the opportunity:
- Openings: 4 (2 day, 2 night)
- Start date: ASAP
- Schedule/shifts: 12 (7a-7p and 7p-7a), 24- or 48-hour shifts
- Call: in house
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of neonatal patients, including physical examinations, medical history reviews, and diagnostic tests interpretation.
- Formulate differential diagnoses based on assessment findings and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop treatment plans. Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and perform procedures as necessary.
- Provide advanced life support and critical care management for neonates in intensive care settings. Monitor vital signs, assess patient responses to treatment, and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with neonatologists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for neonatal patients.
- Educate parents and caregivers on neonatal care practices, treatment plans, and potential complications. Provide support and guidance to families throughout the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) stay.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and clinical interventions in EMRs.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies
- Current state licensure as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
