Are you an NBA enthusiast with proficiency in data analytics and writing?

Valnet Inc. is looking for an NBA Data Journalist for the website GIVEMESPORT.COM.
GIVEMESPORT is one of the world’s largest independent sports media publishers. It covers news, features, and interviews across a broad range of sports, from football and MMA to the NFL and NBA, catering its content to a global audience of more than 30 million fans each and every month.
We pride ourselves on delivering not just the scores, but the stories behind them. Our team of dedicated writers and contributors is committed to providing insightful commentary, thought-provoking analysis, and in-depth features that go beyond the surface of the game. Whether you're a die-hard fan or a casual observer, we cater to all levels of sports interest, making sure there's something for everyone.
Responsibilities

  • Write one article a day using advanced statistics/analytics (20-30 a month)
  • Stay up-to-date with NFL trends and pitch 2 additional content ideas per day for other writers, accompanied with advanced statistics
  • Audit articles on GIVEMESPORT's NBA page and offer suggestions on how to improve them using advanced statistics/analytics

Applicants must possess the following requirements

  • Must reside in the US or Canada
  • In-depth knowledge and deep passion for the NBA 
  • Proficient sports data research skills 
  • Background and strong understanding of advanced sports analytics (familiarity with sites such as basketball-reference.com and pro-football-reference.com considered a plus)
  • Excellent editorial judgment of what's newsworthy or worth covering
  • Advanced writing skills and ability to articulate researched sports data
