What does a day in the life of a Field Technician look like at ULC Technologies?
Our Field Technicians operate and maintain a robotic system called CISBOT which performs critical repairs from within buried Natural Gas pipelines. This unique opportunity allows you to work within a dynamic environment among some of the brightest minds in the field with an opportunity to grow in the role.
ULC provides training on our proprietary robotic system, as well as all components of the repair operation. We will also provide training on gas piping and systems as well as inspection and repair technology. If you have a strong interest in and comprehension of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems, then this makes you a perfect candidate for this job.
To be successful in this role, you must have the following:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be hands-on with mechanical, pneumatics, electronics, and troubleshooting
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Capacity to drive small utility trucks
- Ability to pass a mandatory drug/alcohol test and background check, including random drug screens per DOT regulations
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%
- Willingness to work weekends
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Capable of lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Willingness to work in all varied weather conditions
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs
Operator Qualifications (Great to Have):
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certified
- First Aid/CPR/AED certified
- Northeast Gas Association (NGA) training
Pay: $31/hr
