Janssen Biotech, Inc., a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a National Field Director, Professional Engagement Manager, GI Franchise. The National Field Director of Professional Engagement Manager(PEM) is a senior customer-facing position within the IMM US commercial organization focused on working closely with Gastroenterology Key Opinion Leaders across a region as the Gastroenterology expert. The National Field Director will report to the Director of Marketing, Gastroenterology.

The National Field Director will be responsible for leading the Professional Engagement Management (PEM) team. The National Field Director will build the franchise's medical education strategy, including oversight of the promotional speaker bureau. The National Field Director will lead content development of the promotional speaker bureau in partnership with the brand marketing team.

The Field Director, Professional Engagement and Medical Education will lead Key Opinion Leader engagement by developing and maintaining relationships with current and future thought leaders. This includes Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, and Biologic Coordinators.

Responsibilities

+ Hire, lead and develop Professional Engagement Managers

+ Establish the metrics and objectives for the PEMS teams

+ Drive the Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Engagement Plan Strategy and Execution

+ Provide oversight and communication of speaker bureau performance metrics

+ Provide oversight of processes for selection, training, and compliance requirements for National Faculty speakers

+ Partner with brand marketing to build informative content for promotional speaker bureau

+ Partner with SLD (Sales Learning & Development) to build and manage new hire onboarding program

+ Partner with Marketing Operations to lead all aspects of the operational execution for the promotional speaker bureau

+ Explore and implement program formats and delivery options to enhance educational reach.

+ Maintain complete understanding of ACCME/HCC/Pharma Guidelines

+ Ensure a strict adherence to the legal and regulatory guidelines for medical education

+ Strong understanding of FDA, OIG, and J&J policies relating to medical education

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree required. A minimum of 12 years of related industry experience is required.

+ 4 years of people management (district manager) and/or project management (marketing manager) experience required.

+ Demonstrated ability in a brand management or professional marketing role. An experience in healthcare marketing is highly preferred.

+ Experience with customer relationship management is required (thought leader development, speaker bureau management, clinical training, etc.).

+ Experience with the copy review process is preferred.

+ Consistent track record of success

+ Interpersonal flexibility to effectively interact with a broad range of personnel. Builds effective teams that work well across functions and groups (Collaboration and Teaming).

+ Advanced presentation skills and business insight required.

+ Ability to process complex information and quickly identify innovative solutions that meet both internal and business partner requirements required

+ Advanced problem-solving, and decision-making skills required.

This is a field-based position and it will require up to 40% travel throughout the United States, including time in the Home-Office. This role will require evening events, and overnight and weekend travel. Candidate should reside within a reasonable distance to a major airport.

+ A highly accomplished, dependable, and hardworking professional motivated to help redefine the future of Professional Engagement and medical education in GI!

+ Develop and implement strategic plans for on-label, non-demand generating activities, such as advisory board meetings, educational programs, and collaborative research programs (in partnership with Medical)

+ Collaborates with KOLs to design and implement programs to enhance product knowledge among healthcare professionals

+ Diverse healthcare-related industry experience; pharmaceutical experience preferred; previous marketing experience preferred; Experience in the therapeutic area an asset

+ Ability to analyze data, audit findings and other trends

+ Understanding of compliance and regulatory environment is required

The base pay range for this position is $157,000 to $271,400. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
