As a National 3PL Business Development Executive you’ll act as a champion for customers, working to provide them with the most efficient and cost-effective solutions. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Lead the development and management of strategies to grow market share with primarily partners in our 3PL segment
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers in our 3PL segment
  • Lead effective negotiations by identifying the options, interests, criteria, and alternatives of each party
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of the customer information and sales activity within Salesforce.com
  • Collaborate with other XPO sellers to meet the needs of each customer
  • Develop and maintain vertical and horizontal relationships with customers and prospects through email, phone, and face-to-face contact
  • Develop a strategy that consistently increases your sales pipeline, won/lost and realization performance
  • Learn and leverage inside selling tools, technology and processes to deliver results
  • Facilitate the end-to-end sales process from prospecting to closing business, including adding new business and building additional business with current customers
  • Relay market needs and requirements back to internal XPO teams, including Product, Marketing, Field Operations and Sales Operations

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience
  • 2 years of combined experience in sales, Third-Party Logistics (3PL), LTL, project management and/or logistics
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Understanding of SPIN selling or other needs-based selling models
  • Experience with Salesforce.com
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills including the ability to actively listen and to respond to questions with complete and accurate answers
  • Experience with Salesforce.com
  • A valid driver's license

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Availability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • 5 years of combined experience in sales, 3PL, LTL, finance, or pricing
  • Demonstrated ability to reach or exceed sales goals and objectives
  • Knowledge of general business practices related to sales
  • Strong business/sales acumen with proven sales abilities

Employees are paid within a salary range based on their experience, skill set, and market.
Colorado annual salary range: $72,531 to $90,664
New York annual salary range: $75,985 to $94,982
California annual salary range: $79,439 to $99,299
Washington State annual salary range: $75,985 to $94,982
Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set (e.g., if an applicant far exceeds the minimum and preferred qualifications for the role). In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for a sign-on bonus, annual and long-term incentive awards, and an equity buyout award.
