The National Account Manager is a key member of the sales team and will be responsible for a mixed portfolio of national retail accounts. The aim of the National Account Manager is to drive profitable growth across accounts in line with company objectives. You will liaise with the wider Jazwares team, including Ops & Logistics, BI, Finance, Brand and Marketing. You will be given the freedom to create your own mark within your accounts and own relationships and end-to-end processes in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. You will be expected to develop ideas of how to streamline and innovate the workload and share our corporate vision and passion for our brands with the world's largest retailers. 

                                                                                                                                                                    

What you'll be doing:               

  • Being the primary point of contact on named accounts with end-to-end ownership of forecasting/execution/performance
  • Working collaboratively with retailers to increase revenue and profitability - It is crucial to understand each customer’s business strategy and tailor ranging and promo suggestions to maximize placement on new and existing brands
  • Leading terms negotiations with customers annually to ensure sustainable growth for the business
  • Working with planning and procurement to ensure that volumes are placed in line with agreed forecasts and timescales
  • Working day-to-day with named operations contacts to ensure consistent supply of stock into retail
  • Presenting to customers, licensors and the wider Jazwares team as needed
  • People management responsibilities to include identification and fostering of individual team member growth plans. Provide team members with the appropriate training, tools, direction, and motivation to enable their success
  • Assisting on projects to drive efficiencies and profitability across the wider team
  • Attending industry events
  • Achieves sales forecast, distribution, pricing, promotion, and shelving objectives within assigned segments
  • Communicates information and customer needs across the organization - leads, organizes and facilitates both internal and external teams to meet customer’s needs
  • Develops customer business plans that considers long-term goals, strategies and results - considers the profit and volume implications of various alternatives to both Jazwares and our customers
  • Develops conceptual presentations drawing from all internal and external resources
  • Negotiates business plans at customer business planning sessions to achieve business unit’s short and long-term volume and profit goals while conforming to Jazwares policies
  • Works closely with the Supply-Demand Planning Team at Jazwares to ensure correct forecast is implemented and executed
  • Manage and deliver P&L Statements
  • Work collaboratively with cross functional teams
  • Strategically build a sustainable commercial plan
  • Weekly reporting summary
  • Build on strong customer relationships and deliver sustainable growth
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What we look for:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or industry relevant field preferred
  • 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in ecommerce
  • 3+ years of experience in customer service and managing relationships with major retailers
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  • Experience with direct buyer and vendor manager relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop productive and professional relationships
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced understanding of excel & G-Suite
  • Able to work cross functionally, collaboratively, and reciprocally with multiple departments
  • Self-Motivated, and a self-starter
  • Able to multitask, organize, prioritize, and manage time efficiently      
  • Can easily adapt to shifting priorities, and can manage multiple priorities at one time
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to deal effectively with diverse individuals at all organizational levels in a professional manner

Preferred Qualifications                                                                                                        

  • Experience in the toy/baby/costume/pets industry
  • Experience in a consumer goods industry
