The National Account Manager will report to the Sales Director and play an integral role in driving world class account management initiatives by working closely with those retailer merchants in collaboration with SharkNinja corporate teams (sales planning, category planning & analysis, omni channel, supply chain, customer service and finance) to meet sales & profit, distribution and digital goals.

Here are some of the EXCITING things you'll get to do:

  • Demonstrate Best in Class account management, driving growth in Revenue and Net Margin to help us achieve and exceed our goals. Develop and execute a strategic plan to win for your business which includes driving market share growth for both the retailer and SharkNinja, with a clear path to goal achievement.
  • Ability to be a successful sales leader, acting as the "business manager "of your business, including cross-functional team leadership, financial and analytical savvy and demonstrated thought leadership on how to achieve breakthrough goals at your accounts.
  • Help Sales Director to manage customer profitability, working closely with internal teams to develop quotes for new items, and manage promotional spending within ROI goals.
  • Owning the Omni-Channel responsibilities including customer profitability, working closely with internal teams to develop quotes for new items, and manage promotional spending within ROI goals.
  • Critical decision making, based on financial analysis of multiple scenarios to drive profitable growth, often diving into the details and understanding what comprises & drives contribution margin $ and %.
  • Help to drive the overall account strategy and will own the outcome for customer meetings, leveraging internal support areas.
  • Execution focused; mindful of key milestones and a demonstrated ability to create and adhere to a schedule to ensure success.
  • Working with the Demand Planning and Supply Chain teams to optimize the flow of goods, including the monthly forecast cycle and long-range plans.
  • Working with Category Analysis teams to report POS, trends, factors impacting the business
  • Gathering and communicating competitive factors impacting the business (i.e. new competitive items, competitive promotions, etc.)
  • Delivering flawless execution for SharkNinja and Home Centers:
    • New Product Launches (in-store and online)
    • Ensure the highest level of online execution and penetration
    • Timely response to retailer and internal partner requests
    • Leverage weekly and daily analytics to drive key decisions

ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:

  • Intimate knowledge of how to drive sales at larger retailers. Preferred sales experience working with Home Depot, Lowe's, ACE or National Accounts and/or buying experience in home center channel.
  • Gritty sales or merchant leader with strategic vision, execution focused, track record of overcoming obstacles, and team player not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get into the details
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills, complimented by effective oral and written communication.
  • Strong analytical skills to gather and analyze large sets of data, ability to automate reporting will be a true advantage
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to be able to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Winning track record for promotional execution during key periods
  • Ability to thrive in the SharkNinja fast-pace, "obsessed with winning"
    • Solution oriented thinker and executor will enjoy solving problems to move the business forward
    • Flexibility to manage objectives and deliverables in a dynamic, innovation-led culture

Requirements:

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of major account sales management or equivalent experience within buying and/or merchandising at retail.
  • Previous Home Depot, Lowe's and respective .com account management experience is preferred.
  • Experience setting up and/or managing customer portals
  • Strong Microsoft office skills (Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel approximately 6 times per year to Boston, MA.

The salary range on this role is 105-155K depending on experience and qualifications
