National Account Manager

We are seeking candidates for the National Account Manager role responsible for achieving growth goals against established KPI’s within the retail and foodservice sector. This individual will be responsible for cultivating leads organically, having a book of business, while maintaining a portfolio of business. This position will also provide sales direction to assigned GPO/Broker partners while driving sales with distributors and operators. Plant-based experience is highly recommended.
This position reports to the Vice President of Sales
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate a go-to-market strategy with the VP of Sales and sales department; based on retailers and consumer needs
· Deliver against distribution & volume targets while acting as the plant-based expert to your retailers
· Collaborate and lead key broker partnerships to deliver against growth targets
· Partner in the development of the Future Foods story from both a consumer and retailer perspective
· Analyze, track and report performance to leadership team, and provide details around accounts progress and partnerships
· Present a forward-looking approach and recommendations of the plant-based landscape including competitive activity
· Plan, schedule, develop, and execute sales meetings and new product introductions with brokers, distributors, and retail customers
· Support retail business development activities including food shows, sales meetings, and trade shows
Qualifications:
· Effectively manage and support sustainable growth initiatives with key customers and distributors
· Must have strong knowledge of plant-based proteins
· 5 years Sales and Key Account experience
· Knowledge managing national and localized chain
· Ability to close business on day 1
· Proficient with planning, financial management, sales pitching, and negotiation.
· In-depth knowledge of Consumer Goods, GPOs, and Broker partnerships
· Must be extremely proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel (can perform numerous advanced functions) and PowerPoint
· Ability to travel as needed, up to 75% of the time
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
· Proven leader in CPG and Retail space, Book of Business
· 5+ years' experience food-service sales required - natural food products and/or plant-based food products experience will be given preference
· Skillfulness to represent Future Foods and effectively sell our brand and story
· Proven track record of successful account management
· Strong computer skills – specifically Microsoft Office
· Collaborative, accountable, results driven and detail-oriented
· Self-starter
· Ability to multi-task
· Capable to communicate effectively with other staff members, leadership teams internally and externally
The position will be based in North Florida
