Nasa Full Stack Engineer

MRI Technologies has partnered with NASA since 1988 to deliver software solutions that meet the complex operational environment of space flight. MRI, a woman-owned technologies and engineering services company, has a need for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to support our EAST 2 Contract.
NASA is on a mission to enhance cloud services and modernize its development environments throughout the organization. As a Full Stack Engineer your mission will be to architect, build, and improve cloud-native applications and services for NASA's most precious resource: it's Data. Working directly with NASA's Information Data and Analytics Services, the cloud-native systems MRI Technologies create and operate support the entire NASA workforce across the world.
The MRI software team is a group of passionate developers, working closely together to identify problems at NASA. We are passionate about open source software and take a very pragmatic approach when evaluating the tooling, languages, and frameworks used on a given project. This position is 100% remote, working with a fantastic team of developers from across the country and collaborating with multiple NASA centers. • Support NASA's "Science, Technical, and Information" Division developing, expanding, and maintaining their cloud-native systems including:
  • STRIVES API: a .net Core, C#, HTTPS web API
  • STRIVES DB: a PostgreSQL RDMS
  • STRIVES Web: an HTML/CSS/Javascript client application built with Angular and Material Design
  • NTRS Search: an Elasticsearch engine with a Node.js proxy API
  • DOIMS: a Python, HTTPS web API
• Integrate all your work into MRI's DevSecOps/Kubernetes Platform: AppDat
  • Gitlab Ultimate DevSecOps application
  • Shared Gitlab CI/CD runner environment
  • Managed Kubernetes hosting Environments
  • Keycloak Identity and Access Management (OIDC)

Required Experience / Qualifications:

• College Degree with 8+ years of experience or HS Degree with extensive (15+ years) relevant work experience
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience with C# (or similar server-side programming language)
• Minimum 3 year of professional experience with Angular (or similar client-side framework)
• Strong technical writing ability, proficient in Markdown
• Experience building cloud-native systems on GCP, AWS or Azure
• Experience working with docker for local development
• Experience working with SQL and relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL (or similar RDMS Database technologies)
• Experience working with Git, specifically with Git based DevOps integration and deployment
