Job Description
JOB SCOPE:
We are looking for a licensed Nail Technicians to join our team. You must be comfortable performing manicures and pedicures in a luxury spa setting. Communication skills are essential, as we want to make sure every customer has an exceptional experience. All applicants need to have a certificate from a nail technician or cosmetology program as well as a state cosmetology license.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
Guest Related Tasks:
1. Be totally familiar with treatments, packages, and products offered in the Spa
2. Have an upbeat positive attitude at all times.
3. Fully understand and be proficient in all services offered.
4. Respond to and handle guest inquiries and complaints in a courteous, interested, and professional manner.
5. Ensure the privacy and security of the guests at all times.
6. Keep a record of and be familiar with all groups and VIP arrivals in the Spa and Estate
Appointments
1. Be aware of the scheduling process. Be prompt for appointments.
2. Be always polite and friendly. Follow the guidelines for all LQA standards as illustrated in the employee handbook.
Workstation Duties
1. Set up workstation with necessary supplies. Maintain cleanliness throughout shift.
2. Always follow the proper protocols for services and sanitation procedures.
3. Fill out required paperwork by the state board of cosmetology.
Spa Duties
1. Clean and prepare the nail salon for services by doing occasional walks throughs checking for cleanliness and safety hazards.
2. Performs SPA tours as needed.
3. Assist as needed in the general spa area.
Appearance and Grooming
1. Maintain a clean, neat, attractive appearance all the time.
a. This to include the cleanliness of uniforms.
b. A neatly groomed appearance and professional demeanor.
c. Long hair and fingernails must not impede job duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential:
● Ability to maintain a professional manner at all times.
● Upbeat positive outgoing attitude.
● The ability to listen effectively and build a rapport with your guests.
● Ability to respond to the needs of guests in a friendly, speedy, and accommodating manner, including the ability to effectively deal with customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy.
● Ability to maintain confidentiality of all guest information and pertinent spa and hotel data.
● Ability to work well under pressure, while maintaining a positive attitude.
● Ability to think clearly, quickly and maintain concentration and make concise decisions.
● Ability to focus attention on details.
● Ability to prioritize, organize and stay within time frames of appointments.
● Ability to promote and up-sell Spa products and services.
The hourly rate for this position is $15.50 an hour.
