Job Summary:
The My Epic Gear (MEG) Area Manager roles will have direct oversite of the day-to-day operations of the MEG and Traditional Rental Delivery experience. This role will report directly to the Regional Director and will oversee store management including attaining budget targets and meeting guest service expectations. You will sit on your local regional leadership team and will partner together on recruiting, hiring, training, coaching and leadership development of your team. In addition to leading the front-line Operations, you will also take direction from MEG Leadership. This includes the creation of effective two-way communication between Operations and Program Management through reporting of the Pilot experience. Through these inputs and learning, you will support the overall MEG team in the creation of best practices, operating procedures, guidelines, training materials and helping to shape the future roll-out of MEG programming.

  • The budgeted range starts at (($70,000- $82,000 + annual bonus)). Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Essential Duties:
  • Oversite of daily operations include Traditional Delivery, MEG Operations fulfillment, Member Service locations and Slopeside valet operations.
  • Own the execution of MEG and Traditional Delivery through the use of effective systems, technology, procedures and documentation to ensure operations are compliant, accurate and efficient. Provide leadership and direction on how this information is shared with the front-line teams to drive increased acceptance and understanding of the procedures.
  • Drive guest satisfaction expectations on a consistent basis as demonstrated through GX and various other social media tools for VRR stores. Manage guest recovery situations to ensure proper operating procedures are followed and guest expectations are met. Provide streamlined view of guest satisfaction results and any friction points through the use of reporting.
  • Develop and manage two-way communication mechanisms between the front-line teams and the MEG program management team to ensure identified issues are quickly escalated and resolved both from a process and a system standpoint.
  • Ensure front line operators have access to all necessary reporting including revenue performance, inventory, payroll and timekeeping, guest satisfaction surveys and other reporting needs as necessary.
  • Proactively assist the Regional Director of Operations and the Director of MEG to resolve inefficiencies through partnering with various stakeholder groups in the organization including IT, Merchandising, Business Development, Marketing and Operations Support. Develop, roll-out and communicate the implementation of updated SOPs and best practices that can be scaled across the enterprise.
  • Effectively collaborate with the VRR leadership team who is overseeing the future MEG strategy as this work will be highly integrated into the future MEG roadmap and roll-out across the remaining 8 resorts in scope.
  • Maintain rigor with the teams about balancing the execution of MEG and Traditional Delivery in the market.
  • Ensure the relevant stakeholders are informed and consulted on retail needs, happenings and decisions in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned and deemed relevant.

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years multi-store management experience in the retail industry
  • 5 years of direct supervisory experience
  • Proficient in MS Office Products; Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Knowledgeable of customer service and sales techniques
  • Organization and planning skills
  • Strong operational skills in a customer-service environment
  • Team-building skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Rental store operation/management experience highly preferred

Travel and Schedule Requirements:
  • Position will be based out of the market where operations are occurring
  • 50% in market travel to spend time with local team. Potential travel to other markets to support larger roll-out of programming across the enterprise

The expected pay range is $70,000- $82,000 + annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
