JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering to lead and support our facilities. The Director of Engineering will be responsible for providing technical direction, overall service support, all while driving product development, and ensuring efficient site project execution. The ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker, a strong leader, and have a deep understanding of Commerical /Industrial Facilities, HVAC & Controls trends.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
- Provide strategic leadership: Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Mentor a team of talented site level facilities leaders and site technicians, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Technical Guidance: Offer expert technical advice and guidance to the facility teams, ensuring the successful development and delivery of products and all technical processes safely followed.
- Technical project supervision: Provide hands on service for large scale site projects in emergency situations.
- Product Development: Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to delivery, ensuring site projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with site facilities, cultivation, general managers, and other stakeholders to define site project requirements and prioritize engineering tasks.
- Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the company's products and services.
- Process Improvement: Continuously review and optimize engineering processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and innovation.
- Budget Management: Collect budget costs for the engineering department for small projects/services, allocating resources effectively to achieve maximum output.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the engineering team adheres to quality standards and best practices, performing regular code reviews and testing.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience 12+ years in engineering leadership roles, preferably in Commerical/Industrial Facilities, HVAC & Controls .
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in Commerical/Industrial Facilites, HVAC & Controls.
- Demonstrated success in leading and managing engineering teams to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to make data-driven decisions and solve complex technical challenges.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire the team to achieve their full potential.
- Experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Agriculture & Software is a plus.
- Full knowledge of all applicable law, regulations, and requirements to always keep the facility at 100% compliance, this includes being up to date on any changes to current applicable laws/regulations.
