Music Therapist (Board Certified Therapist)

Senior Doc, formerly Geiss MED, www.SeniorDoc.com, is now hiring a Board-Certified Music Therapist to join our Mobile Primary Care, Geriatric House Call Group.

Music Therapist Responsibilities:

• Provide direct services of music therapy to hospice patients and their families to assist in improving physical and mental function and quality of life
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address emotional, behavioral, and mental health issues.
• Maintain appropriate clinical records, progress notes, and reports to the physician any changes in the patients condition
• Communicates effectively with treatment team member, patients and other hospital staff
• Establish therapy objectives as part of the patient assessment
• Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with the clients, their families, personnel, and support agencies

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Master's Degree required.
• Current Board certified (MT-BC) credential according to U. S. Certification Board for Music Therapists
• At least six (6) months of work/education experience with geriatric health care
• At least six (6) months of work /education experience with end-of-life/terminal illness health care
• Must be willing to drive to OC/LA/IE

Salary: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
