NEMC, a 60+ year old family-oriented school music dealer is looking for a Music Company Customer Service Representative.

Position Summary
Customer service position serving NEMC’s nationwide network of band and orchestra musical instrument dealers, schools, and rental customers. Provides telephone, online, and online chat sales and support; resolves customer issues; performs general office tasks. This is a 37.5 hours per week full-time position with the potential for a maximum of 2 days per week working remotely.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. Other duties, assignments, and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of management.
· Provide Customer Service support to rental program customers. Resolve customer rental account questions; resolve customer issues; assist customers in the use of NEMC’s online system; train affiliated dealers in the use of proprietary online applications.
· Support and enhance NEMC’s business relationships with dealers, schools, and rental customers.
· Perform data entry tasks associated with new customer orders and affiliated dealer transactions.
· Engage in simultaneous phone and chat sessions with customers.
· Perform general office functions.
Education and Experience
- Applies a background equivalent to a High school diploma.
Skills and Abilities
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required:
· Excellent oral and written communication skills, including excellent telephone skills.
· Ability to become proficient in the use of NEMC’s proprietary online rental system.
· Ability to learn product specifications and details and accurately communicate product information to prospective customers.
· Ability to establish customer relationships, engage customers in sales opportunities, and close sales with customers that are not met in person.
· Ability to deal with all types of customers and different types of situations and resolve situations in a professional manner.
· Ability to handle change and shifting priorities and adjust to varying schedules.
· Musical instrument knowledge preferred, but not required.
· Sales experience preferred, but not required.
