Become a Museum Collections Associate for Paisley Park, where art, music, fashion, culture, and history are celebrated, energized, and inspired by the visionary creative spirit of Prince. This is a full-time position located within the Collections Department working directly to preserve, catalog and exhibit the artifacts in the collection as well as Prince's Legacy.

Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the Museum Collections Associate include:
- Catalog and maintain a variety of mediums in a computerized database system
- Artifact handling
- Exhibition rotations, set-up, and take down
- Exhibition install and de-install
- Cleaning and monitoring exhibition spaces
- Researching
- Assistance with artifact requisitions and loans
- Job-related errands, which may include various shops, photographers, supply pick-up
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The key qualifications of the Museum Collections Associate include:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Museum Studies, Public History, or other similar level degree is required
- Experience with Collections Management system; Re-Discovery Proficio is helpful
- Prior knowledge/experience with artifact handling and proper storage
- Experience with packing artifacts of various mediums including textiles into proper storage
- Skills in working with various artifact mediums
- Ability to deal with repetitious work environments and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail
- Skill and knowledge of Windows computers and related software
- Ability to be flexible with various projects
- Excellent communication skills both in person and via technology
- Ability to perceive and deal with sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality
- Must work well individually as well as with a team
- Must be able to work under pressure of deadlines and competing needs
- Must have a Driver's License and own a vehicle
Some knowledge of Prince is helpful but not required.
Hours
Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM working hours to include some weekends, evenings, holidays, and overtime as required based on the event schedule. Mandatory staffing for the Celebration event falling in June.
Physical Requirements
The primary physical requirements of the Museum Collections Associate include:
- Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift at least 25-40 lbs.
- Must be able to lift boxes above the head and from ground level.
- Must be comfortable performing exhibition cleaning.
- Must be able to participate in exhibit rotations, which include lifting and carrying various displays and exhibition materials.
Note: As Prince was a pescatarian, Paisley Park is a pescatarian food environment. Eggs, fish, and cheese are fine; beef, pork, chicken, and other meats can be eaten in your car, or you may take meals off-site.
