Job Summary
The Associate Producer is a creative and detail-oriented person who brings the know-how needed for creating polished, engaging content for broadcast and over-the-top/digital spaces. The Associate Producer serves as a key administrative and creative member of the Media Programming and Production team with a passion for work that represents the mission, vision, and values of the Voice of Prophecy and the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Authority & Accountability:
Authority as delegated by the Director of Media, Programming, and Production.
Key Responsibilities
Assignments could shift temporarily or permanently, depending on business needs.
Authentic:
- Perform scheduling and other producing tasks as assigned
- Produce and manage assigned web content, including some copywriting
- Manage assigned digital, TV and radio delivery
- Collect, analyze, and report digital and broadcast analytics for Authentic-weekly, monthly, and quarterly
- Perform other assigned tasks
Discovery Mountain:
- Build and maintain production staff and talent schedules
- Coordinate all studio recording activities
- Serve as the primary audio engineer during production
- Produce and manage assigned web content
- Collect, analyze, and report digital and broadcast analytics for Discovery Mountain-weekly, monthly, and quarterly
General Producing, Administration & Project Management:
- Provide general administrative and producing support to the Director of Media Programming and Production
- Develop data-driven strategies for expanding flagship content reach
- Establish and foster relationships with new content partners
- Manage service provider, vendor, and distribution contracts
- Establish and manage select contracts and supervise contractors
- Manage content delivery of assets to contractors and internal stakeholders
- Provide Quality Control on all post-produced content
- Oversee broadcast schedules and ensure on-time delivery
- Monitor and respond to department emails and other communications
- Build and manage content databases
- Manage intellectual property licensing and enforcement
- Work as a Production Center technical team member during all assigned productions
- Serve as Production Center and Craft Services Coordinator, by keeping the studios, equipment and Production Center clean, organized, functioning, and stocked with food and beverages
- Keep team on the cutting edge of media producing, production, and consumption trends, plus technology, industry standards, and best practices
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director of Media Programming and Production
Education & Experience
- Required:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university AND one (1) year of experience as a producer for professional audio and video content,
- OR High-school diploma/GED AND a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a producer for professional audio and video content
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, media production, marketing, or advertising from an accredited college or university AND at least one (1) year of experience as a producer for professional audio and video content content

Hiring Salary Range and Benefits:
- $53,132.76 - $62,373.24, depending on qualifications

Workplace Information
The Voice of Prophecy, headquartered in Loveland, Colorado, produces digital, radio, and TV content in support of our mission. Our motto is "Equipping the World for Christ to Come," and our media productions are part of our goal to tell others about Jesus. The media portfolio includes the flagship TV and radio program Authentic, the kids' audio drama Discovery Mountain, and numerous acclaimed historical documentaries.
- General working conditions of an office and production studio environment
- Reports directly to the Director of Media Programming, and Production
- Internal stakeholders at Voice of Prophecy: Manager/Treasurer, Speaker/Director, associate speakers, Discovery Mountain department director, other department directors, staff, and volunteers
- External stakeholders: listening and viewing audiences of Voice of Prophecy content, contractors, vendors, talent, parents of minors serving as talent, vendors, donors, and supporters
- May require reaching, bending, kneeling, standing, climbing, sitting for extended periods, and repetitive keyboard work
- Moderate physical effort required by moving and positioning objects up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally and/or up to ten (10) pounds frequently
- Work Time:
- 38 regular hours per week
- Some variable and/or weekend work will be required
- Some travel will be required for production, events, and meetings
- Office/business attire required
