Description:Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Creative Services, the Multimedia Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of video production, from concept to completion, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the video production process, a passion for storytelling, and the ability to manage and mentor a team of student creatives and freelancers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversees the entire video production process, from concept to completion, for materials including but not limited to live events, interviews, campus activities, classes, profiles, news events, and produced editorial shoots for advertisements and promotional use.
- Manages, mentors, and maintains a team of student videographers and editors.
- Maintains and coordinates with a team of freelance videographers.
- Coordinates projects with freelance editors.
- Coordinates voiceover recordings.
- Directs and shoots video content.
- Edits and post-produces video content, including color correction and motion graphics.
- Coordinates the distribution of video assets internally and externally.
- Collaborates cross-team to develop needed video collateral.
- Ensures consistent branding and messaging across University video output.
- Maintains and enhances multimedia equipment inventory with the assistance of engineers.
- Stays up to date on the latest video production trends and technologies.
- Logs content and maintains video archives.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Production, Filmmaking, or a related field required.
- Minimum three years’ experience in video production.
- Proven track record of managing and delivering high-quality video projects.
- Understanding and ongoing interest in video technologies and techniques.
- Strong storytelling ability.
- Expert understanding of video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere.
- Ability to manage multiple projects within a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to transport necessary video gear to shooting locations.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
- Experience in Higher Education preferred.
- Experience in live streaming and/or drone videography.
