Position Title: Maintenance Technician - Welder/Deconstruction Specialist
Job Overview:
United Talent is immediately seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Maintenance Technician with expertise in welding and deconstruction for a mining facility in Moundsville, WV. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing welding tasks, routine maintenance, and participating in the deconstruction process of mining equipment and structures. MSHA 24-hour(Mine Safety and Health Administration) certification is required to ensure compliance with safety regulations in the mining industry.
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct welding repairs and fabrication tasks on mining equipment and structures.
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute welding projects accurately.
Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
Participate in the deconstruction and dismantling of mining facilities, machinery, and structures.
Safely operate heavy machinery, such as cutting torches, grinders, and other demolition equipment.
Collaborate with the team to develop efficient deconstruction plans and strategies.
Maintain strict adherence to MSHA regulations and safety guidelines throughout all maintenance and deconstruction activities.
Ensure all team members are aware of and follow MSHA safety protocols specifically MSHA 24-Hour Part 48 & 56
Participate in regular safety meetings and inspections to promote a safe working environment.
- Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with other Maintenance Technicians, operators, and supervisors to coordinate tasks effectively.
Communicate progress, challenges, and any safety concerns to the relevant stakeholders.
Actively participate in training programs to enhance skills and stay updated on industry best practices.
Pay & Shift:Pay starts at $42/hr based on experience, this is a temporary position looking for 3-4 weeks of work.
Requirements:
- MSHA 24 Hour certification is mandatory specifically MSHA Part 48 & 56
- Proven experience as a welder and Maintenance Technician, preferably in a mining or heavy industrial setting.
- Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) and cutting methods.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and technical drawings.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment for deconstruction purposes.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and regulations.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding environments.
- Comfort working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Stamina and endurance for extended periods of physical activity.
