Summary:
- The MRI Technologist is responsible for completing specialized MRI procedures in accordance with organizational policies and established professional standards of care. This position is accountable for the quality of the examinations completed utilizing
- Explaining the MRI process to patients and ensuring the patients comply with all safety standards.
- Positioning, and possibly sedating, patients to capture clear images of the correct area of the body.
- Removing and then replacing IVs and catheters for the MRI process.
- Maneuvering the MRI equipment and positioning it to capture the correct images.
- Monitoring patients during scanning and maintaining patients' records.
- Monitoring MRI equipment functions.
- Ensuring clear images for Physicians to provide accurate diagnoses.
- Recognizing abnormalities and irregularities in images.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
- MRI Tech. Cardiac experience
- 2-3 years experience required.
- IL state Medical Board-MRT.
- Current BLS.
- Covid vaccine required, including booster for those eligible (5 months after last dose). Medical/Religious exemptions must be tested weekly and be prepared to provide proof should it be requested.
- Client discovery 750W 3T and a Siemens 1.5 symphony.
