This technologist utilizes the MRI machine for generating MRI Images of the body for diagnostic purposes with diagnostic imaging equipment, in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
- Performs all exams related to MRI scans with skill, accuracy and in a timely manner.
- Coordinates all work done in the area surrounding MRI scanners.
- Prepares patients for their test.
- Reviews MRI consent form.
- Assures patient brings no ferrous objects into the MRI scan room.
- Assures absence of medical conditions or implant and devices that may make the MRI test contraindicated.
- Assures patient privacy at all times.
- Authorizes any work to be done on the MRI scanner, as directed by Management.
- Maintains a safe workplace free of clutter.
- Operates the MRI equipment using proper safety procedures.
- Monitor all area for all persons not MRI screened.
- Observes and maintains patient confidentiality.
